Padraig O’ Cleirigh received his PhD from Cornell University in 1975. He specialises in later Platonism (especially the 3rd century Alexandrian strain, the writings of Origen, that is and Plotinos) Greek Tragedy (especially Sophoclean drama). He promotes the living use of Latin in teaching, learning and translating literary texts (especially modern classics).
