Marie-Claire Harrigan is currently completing a doctoral thesis on the 1641 depositions at the University of Ulster. She has a BA in Irish History and Politics and currently teaches both history and politics modules at the University. Her research interests include sixteenth and seventeenth century Irish and British history and also contemporary Northern Ireland politics.
